About us

National Neurodivergence Team

We are a small neurodiverse team funded by Welsh Government and hosted by the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), working in partnership with Health.

We work towards our aim by:

• Working closely with stakeholders across Wales: the neurodivergent community, Welsh Government, local Autism/ND Leads, Local Authorities, third sector organisations, Health Boards, and Advisory Groups

• Following the Code of Practice on the delivery of autism services. Click here to find out more

• Creating free bilingual resources for neurodivergent people, parents/carers, social care, health, education and employment that anyone can access (some people may find specific sections particularly useful)

• Co-ordinating meetings of the Autism Leads forum. The forum offers an opportunity to collaborate in developing and revising key resources and work on an all Wales basis

• Working closely with the Integrated Autism Service. Click here to find out more

• Our commitment to co-production

• Providing training materials such as eLearning modules freely available for all organisations to do. Click here to find out more

• Working closely with Universities and researchers to help inform and support on their research

• Working with data collection services such as Data Cymru and NHS Wales Executive to help shape and inform data around neurodivergence

• Supporting policy development by taking part in Working Groups and Advisory Groups
